It feels almost tropical outside today, warm with very high humidity. Everything is wet from the overnight rain, making for a nice deep green. I’m glad spring is finally here.
The views from Metro North’s Harlem-Hudson Line can be quite stunning… as long as you’re looking out the window that is. The smells, not as good.
Another new layer of snow covered the ground last night. It looks nice in the sun. There’s a clear blue sky today.
Didn’t see this coming. Got up this morning to a couple of inches of fresh snow on the ground and a steady stream of chunky flakes coming down. The weatherman missed this one unless they squeezed into yesterday’s reports at the last minute. Looks pretty.
As I working on my computer I noticed these deer walking through the side yard and snapped this photo from the window. Obviously they saw me through the window, it’s like they’re posing for a postcard.
Wow. 61 degrees fahrenheit today. It’s December 28th 2008. Just a week or so ago we had almost a foot of snow on the ground and ,as a matter fact, this morning the ground was still almost completely covered. It’s 4pm now and there’s hardly anything left.
The temperatures have been hovering around freezing. Below freezing at night and above during the day. These early winter conditions have created some spectacular icicles around the house.
